HO Scale EMD GP7 PRR Class ES15m Announced

Walthers has announced a new run of EMD GP7's in Pennsy livery, class ES15m, which were built in 1951.

Walthers Proto is offering four locomotive numbers, with the following features:

  • 5-Pole, Skew-Wound, High-Torque, High-Efficiency Can Motor
  • Proto MAX (TM) Metal Knuckle Couplers

Based on units in service from delivery in January 1952 to 1966 renumbering with:

  • NEW Canvas Sunshades
  • NEW Trainphone Antenna
  • Long-Hood Forward Operation
  • Brass Nathan K3 Air Horn
  • Cab Wind Deflectors
  • Bolted-Style Handrails
  • 1600-Gallon Fuel/Water Tank

Two road numbers are offered in tradtional DC -- 8801 and 8805 -- with an MSRP of $199.98. Two road numbers are offered with DCC/Sound -- 8798 and 8799 -- with an MSRP of $299.98. All will bear the 1952-1966 paint scheme.

The diesels database on Keystone Crossings confirms that all of these road numbers were assigned to passenger helper service.
