Walkersville Southern Railroad Operates on Former Frederick Branch

At the quarterly meeting of the Northern Central Chapter of the PRRT&HS, a representative of the Walkersville Southern Railroad gave a presentation on their tourist operation on the PRR's former Frederick Branch.

This was a dinner train and excursion railroad that I was previously not aware of. Their collection is limited to only two former Pennsy cars (including an N5), but the landscape is appealing. They have a growing museum and might be worth a stop if you are in the area.

Additional information about the Walkersville Southern Railroad can be found on their web page.

The Walkersville Southern Railroad will be presenting at the PRRT&HS 2012 Annual Meeting in May.
