Annual open house scheduling starts on September 1st and runs through September 20th.
If you are a layout owner and will be open, please contact the regional coordinator for your area with your open house date(s). If you are new to participating in the Open House, your regional coordinator will collect additional information from you, including address, description of the layout, etc.
We prefer that all layout owners proactively submit their open house info during this timeframe. If we do not hear from you, we cannot promise that we will contact you. We will post the completed schedule around October 1st.
Also as a reminder, when you commit to an open house, cancellations should only be made for extenuating circumstances or emergency, not convenience. Not everyone has access to up-to-the-minute information and we don’t want to anger or inconvenience a visitor who might show up for a canceled open house. Please make every effort to abide by your chosen date(s).
NOTE: If you do make a change, the change will be reflected in the Event List, Event Calendar, and Late Breaking News pages. However, the Google maps pages are static once published.

Though not affiliated with the NMRA, The Model Railroad Open House utilizes NMRA bounderies for the convenience of NMRA divisions which opt to co-sponsor the open house in their area. There is no cost associated with co-sponsorship. Co-sponsorship provides an extension of NMRA insurance to members who open their model railroads and offers layout owners and their crews credit towards the NMRA Volunteer AP.
