The Griffis Junction RR in now in its 4th and final (hopefully) home. The RR is a 30 foot by 50 foot modular freelance HO operating layout that consists of 5 towns, three yards (two freight and one passenger) and a mining company all connected by a double track main line. There are over 40 engines and 500 rolling stock on the layout. The layout runs mostly BLI PRR engines and has rolling thunder sound installed in several locations. Steam engines will be running from 9:00AM until approximately 2:00PM transitioning to diesel by 3:00PM and diesel will be running for the rest of the day.
The main yard is four feet wide and over thirty feet long and has a 130 foot turntable with 12 stall round house and engine service facility as well as a transfer table and a car and diesel shop.
The town of New Haven features two car floats and a waterfront scene that not only has BLI lightning and thunder but real fog.
The town of Cambria has an operating Heljan container terminal that spans four tracks and handles sixteen container cars at a time.
The Mine Company is a Walther's new river mine kit that I 3d-printed operating coal chutes for. The mine loads Tyco operating hoppers that are then delivered and emptied around the layout.
My layout is located on the corner of Waldheim road and Dicks Dam. My Driveway (and entrance to the layout) is off Waldheim please park along only one side of Waldheim not both. If you choose to park in my driveway please do not drive on the grass to get out if you get parked in .
