The mission of the Middle Division Chapter is to maintain the integrity of the historic Pennsylvania Railroad’s Lewistown station; provide a safe, clean environment for all Amtrak patrons, as well as members and guests of the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society who visit the Station; and to generally promote interest in the Pennsylvania Railroad so that future generations may better appreciate and understand the importance of the PRR in our history.
We meet the 2nd Saturday of January, March, May, September, & November. Meetings are held at the Lewistown Train Station at 1:30. Meetings consist of station business, as well as discussion on any PRRT&HS news or events. Light refreshments are served. We welcome guests! A few special events we have annually for our chapter members and their families include… A picnic in July. Around the end of October, a “Hobo Party”, complete with hobo costumes and a bonfire. And in December, we celebrate the holidays with a Christmas party with great food, presents for the kids, and an auction with proceeds going to the local food bank.
Membership dues are $10 per year. Here is the application.
